India vs Pakistan has been an iconic rivalry for many years now, and the fact that they now only meet in the ICC events gives it further hype. The Ashes was considered as the biggest competition of all, but the recently concluded series suggests otherwise. England on the tour of Australia brutally lost the series by 4-0. India-Pakistan rivalry, on the other hand, is highly competitive and produces big viewership numbers.

While some of the ex Australian and English cricketers do not agree to this, Michael Vaughan admits that India-Pakistan is the superior rivalry. In a conversation, he said, "India vs Pakistan is the biggest game."

"I think, we being England and Australia ex-players, we all kind of think of the Ashes as the biggest game in world cricket, it's not! India vs Pakistan is the biggest game. Looking forward to Rohit Sharma being the captain, probably the first time he's going to be under real pressure. It's going to be an epic event," said Vaughan on Start Sports.

The schedule for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia came out on January 21. Fans are excited about the fixture between India and Pakistan in Group 2 of the super 12 stages. The match is set to be played on the 23rd of October at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

India has an astonishing record over Pakistan in the World Cup, but their last encounter went in Pakistan's favor. This was the first time that Pakistan was able to beat India in a World Cup game as they registered a 10-wicket victory.

India will be particularly fired up after the loss in Dubai, said Adam Gilchrist on the India-Pakistan rivalry. He added, "So, the rivalry just grows, and what a venue to have."
