The test experts of Team India, namely Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari will begin their preparations for the upcoming series against Australia. They will start the preparation at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai from Friday evening. The UAE and Dubai are currently hosting IPL 2020 on behalf of BCCI.
India is set to visit Australia for a tough winter session of cricket. Team India will lock horns with the Aussies in six white-ball Internationals followed by the four-match Tests.
The team understands the need to plan for serious series
A source informed that the team understands the need to plan for such a serious series, and they need to use as much time they get while staying in Dubai. They will have practice sessions under lights from Friday and with the pink ball. The present practice session will be a three-hour meeting roughly.
Despite the fact that Raghu, who is the throwdown expert, has not traveled to the United Arab Emirates because of Covid, the team will look for the services of another throwdown expert. Nuwan Seneviratne from Sri Lanka will be a part of the series. His left-arm point will help the batsmen get ready for Australian bowler, Mitchell Starc.
According to sources, Pujara, Vihari, and the rest are right now already working with Nuwan in Raghu's nonattendance. The source stated that it is unfortunate that Raghu has been tested positive for Covid-19, and nothing can be done about it. Hopefully, the test expert will have a speedy recovery and can join in the next series of Team India.
