India is all set to take on England in the final T20I of their all-format tour. The visitors have already won the first two matches and claimed the three-match series. They will now look to whitewash England in the series. On the other hand, the hosts will look to get at least one win in the series. This series is a build-up to the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. Trent Bridge in Nottingham will host the final T20I on the 10th of July.
Team Updates
India
The Indian team has been at the very best in this series. They have defended totals which were just above par at the respective surfaces. The men in blue have produced outstanding performances with the ball. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, with his swing, has been the leader of the pack. They would like to continue doing that in the next match as well. However, India's batting efforts in the two matches thus far have been poor.
The men in blue would look to improve on that before the play in the T20 World Cup. In the final match, India will not look to make any changes to their playing XI from their last game. They will, however, look to get better results with the bat in this match.
Probable Playing XI
Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal
England
The hosts have had a terrible run with the bat in the series so far. Except for Moeen Ali, no batter has been able to trouble the Indian bowlers. They have seen a batting collapse in both the matches of the series so far. They would try to make some changes to their team in order to achieve better results in the final encounter. England's bowling, on the other hand, has been exceptional. They have put the batters under a lot of pressure, despite conceding a few runs.
Jos Buttler is still looking for the first win as the full-time captain of the team. To get a favourable result, he may wish to make certain adjustments to the team's lineup. The team might play an extra batter in place of Matthew Parkinson. Philip Salt may get a chance to play the match.
Probable Playing XI
Jason Roy, Jos Buttler (c & wk), Dawid Malan, Philip Salt, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, David Willey, Chris Jordan, Richard Gleeson
Pitch Report
The wicket at the Trent Bridge will be neutral for the batters and bowlers. Unlike most other grounds in England, there isn't a lot of grass here. A high-scoring game can not be expected. The team winning the toss might choose to bat first.
