Australia concluded the 3-match ODI series with a pleasant 51-run win over India in the 2nd match. Steve Smith registered his second century whereas the other four batsmen in Australia's top five crossed 50. The fifties from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul kept India in the game, but still, the Men in Blue fell well short.
Shikhar Dhawan: 5.5/10
Dhawan looked excellent during the 23 balls he was at the crease, but then he got out trying to hit Hazlewood. With a respectable amount of runs in the past, he should have taken it upon himself to bat through the innings.
Mayank Agarwal: 5.5/10
Agarwal unexpectedly was used as a part-time bowling option, but that could last only one over. He got off to an excellent start, but his dismissal put India's middle-order under immense pressure. It's challenging to see Agarwal retain his place in the team when Rohit returns. He looked out of his depth on the wicket ball format.
Virat Kohli: 7.5/10
Kohli overcame a slightly slow start with some authoritative shots. He would manage his first ODI hundred in 11 innings but was dismissed in almost the same way as the 1st ODI. His wicket was effectively the end of the team's hopes.
Shreyas Iyer: 6/10
Iyer, who scored 38 and looked comfortable at the crease, but later threw his wicket to Henriques. The 26-year-old needs to be much more confident if he is to bat at Number 4.
KL Rahul: 7.5/10
Rahul strived to find the gaps and his strike rotation wasn't great during his innings. However, he hit four fours and five sixes in his 66-ball 76.
Hardik Pandya: 6.5/10
Pandya sprung a surprise by coming on and delivering four overs. His spell was pledging, as he scalped one wicket. Pandya, who scored 28 off 31 balls was sent back by Pat Cummins.
Ravindra Jadeja: 6.5/10
Jadeja once again bowled an economical 10-over spell in the context of the game. The left-hander played an enterprising 24-run cameo. He threatened to take the game away from Australia before a length ball from Cummins brought the end of his innings.
Mohammed Shami: 5/10
Shami went for 73 runs in his nine overs. The pacer got the first breakthrough by having Finch caught at cover. Shami, along with his partners, haven't been penetrating with the new ball.
Navdeep Saini: 2/10
Saini had another misery as he conceded 70 runs in his seven overs. He was not able to hit the yorker at the death and inconsistent at all other stages of the innings. The 28-year-old is not likely to be a part of the squad for the final ODI match.
Yuzvendra Chahal: 3.5/10
Chahal also had an indifferent outing. He looked reluctant to flight the ball and bowl his variations. It's two games in a row now, and he has been out-bowled by his Aussie counterpart Zampa. He could lose his place for the next round.
Jasprit Bumrah: 4.5/10
Bumrah is simply unable to provide regular breakthroughs for the team. He got rid of Labuschagne. He also created a couple of half-chances in the first powerplay but ended giving away 79 runs in his ten overs. The spearhead has taken only three wickets in 8 ODIs in 2020.
