On the second day of the fourth Test in Ranchi, India reached 34 for one in response to England's first-innings total of 353. The team faced an early setback with skipper Rohit Sharma departing for just two runs, caught behind off James Anderson. This dismissal was crucial for India, who lead the five-Test series 2-1.
The opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, the top scorer of the series, was at the crease with 27 runs, partnered by Shubman Gill at four, at the break. Unfortunately, his opening batting partner, Rohit Sharma was dismissed in India’s reply to England’s first-innings total. Throughout the series, the Indian skipper apart from the century in the third Test has certainly not lived up to his expectations.
In the third over of the Indian innings, the India skipper was caught behind off the bowling of James Anderson. This is not the first time when the legendary bowler has dismissed the Indian skipper for 2 runs off 9 balls. Anderson delivered a lovely channel, pitching up and holding its line outside off. Rohit's feet hardly moved as he pushed forward, resulting in a thin edge and Foakes did the rest. This dismissal left the Ranchi crowd stunned. Let us look at how Twitter has reacted to this dismissal;

Very casual approach. He will now score a century after 10 innings. Sorry that’s the pattern.

Rohit Sharma furious at production team amid DRS call
During the fourth Test against England in Ranchi, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma became frustrated with the production team. Just before tea on Day 1, when Ravindra Jadeja's delivery struck Ben Foakes' pads, the Indian team called for a review. However, instead of focusing on the DRS (ball-tracking technology), the production team zoomed in on Rohit's face, irritating the 36-year-old. He requested the unit to concentrate on the DRS rather than his facial expressions.

The camera feed was promptly cut, and the replay was shown, confirming that the ball had missed the leg stump. With this clarification, Ben Foakes resumed his batting. Meanwhile, India exhausted all their reviews in the process, allowing the visitors to take firm control of the match after a shaky start in the first session of the day.
