The ongoing India vs England 2024 Test series is nothing short of action. Ahead of the series, there were talks about unleashing the BazBall method in the Asian country, after having done it in other nations and at home too. The method was given by none other than England Test Head Coach Brendon McCullum. When he used to lead his national side, New Zealand, the 2021 WTC winners used to play in such a way.

This method led the Three Lions to beat Pakistan by 3-0 in the Asian country for the first time. Meanwhile, cut to the ongoing series, both teams have fought each other neck-to-neck. In the first Test, the visitors were lagging. After being bowled out for 246, the home team amassed 436, leading by 190. At this point, the win for the European side looked impossible, especially after being 165/5.

However, Ollie Pope, Ben Foakes, and the rest of the lower-order batters helped the team reach 420 all-out, asking the two-time WTC finalists, to chase down 231 runs. In the second innings, India failed to live up to the performance from the first innings and lost the game by 28 runs.

India leveled the series in the second Test

In the second Test, the Men In Blue won the toss and elected to bat first. This time around, they seemed to be mindful of the fact that they couldn't let the game slip away. After getting to 396 runs, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal's maiden double hundred, the bowlers ensured that the visitors were bowled out for 253 runs, leading by 143 runs. At one point, the Three Lions were sailing at 112/1.

In the second innings, India was bowled out for 255 runs despite Shubman Gill's hundred. They asked the opposition to chase down 399 runs to take a lead of 2-0. However, once again, the Indian bowlers ensured that the team won by 106 runs to level the series 1-1.
