In the ongoing Day Four of the ongoing second Test, England needed to chase 332 runs as they started the day with 67/1. On the other hand, the home side needed nine wickets to level the series. At the start of the day, the chasing side started the way they are known for in the last couple of years.

However, in exchange, they have also lost wickets that didn't help the cause in the first session itself. One of them was the wicket of Ollie Pope, the Hero of Hyderabad as his side won the game despite trailing by 190 after the first innings. Against Ravichandran Ashwin, the right-hander tried to play a cut shot. However, the latter managed to edge to Sharma at slips.

Notably, the India skipper took the catch despite being blindsided by the wicketkeeper, KS Bharat.

In the afternoon session, the team reached 286/9, needing 113 runs to win at the time of writing

Mukesh Kumar, who struggled with the ball, has just taken the wicket of Shoaib Bashir. This is Kumar's first wicket in the game and at home. In the second session, skipper Ben Stokes got run out and with him, the hopes for winning the game also went away.
