India will beat New Zealand comfortably: Tim Paine

Australian Test Skipper Tim Paine believes that the Indian cricket team will comfortably win the World Test Championship. With just three days remaining for the marquee clash, both teams are finalizing their combinations and making strategies. After winning the two-match Test series against England, NZ has sealed the top position in the ICC Test team rankings with 123 points. The Indian cricket team has now dropped to the second position with 121 points. The WTC final between India and New Zealand was eventually going to occur at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. However, due to COVID-19 concerns and logistical issues, the ICC shifted the WTC final to the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton and will be played between June 18-22.

India will get an easy win if they play anyway near their best: Tim Paine

Both India and NZ have been performing brilliantly in the purest format of the game. All the cricket fanatics in the world are waiting for a fascinating contest between the top-notch sides. As the match holds such immense significance, many cricket experts and players have chosen their favorites for the finals. Australian Test skipper Tim Paine is the latest one to join the bandwagon. In a recent interview, the wicketkeeper-batsman was asked to pick the winners of the WTC final. Tim Paine didn't hesitate and claimed that Team India would win the ultimate clash. Paine also stated that the Men in Blue would walk away with an easy win if they play anyway near their best.

However, defeating a team like New Zealand will not be easy for India. The conditions in England are somewhat similar to that of New Zealand. Thus, this would be advantageous for the Kiwis, and adapting to the conditions won't be difficult for them.
