India Women are all set to tour Sri Lanka for a complete white-ball series in June and July. This will be India's first assignment after the disappointing Women's World Cup 2022. This series will also feature Harmanpreet Kaur as the full-time all-format captain for the first time.
With the T20Is set to play at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham as well as the ICC Women's T20 World Cup eight months away, India would want to get their preparations off to a good start. On the tour, India will also play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, is coming off a series defeat against Pakistan. They lost all three T20Is at home. However, veterans such as Oshadi Ranasinghe and Chamari Athapaththu will look forward to making the most out of this series. They, too, would want to win this series in preparation for the major events lined up.
