Skippers from both teams KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya will start a new chapter in their careers. Pandya will lead an ITL team for the first time in his seven-year career. On the other hand, this will be Rahul's another experience of captaincy, having led Punjab before.

Pitch Report

The season's opening game between Chennai and Kolkata saw pacers getting some help with the new ball. Umesh Yadav from Kolkata took two wickets in the powerplay. Expect the same grass covering on the surface with teams preferring to bowl first on this deck.
