The 45th match of the Indian T20 League 2022 will be played between Delhi and Lucknow. The match will take place on May 1st at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. This is the season's second meeting between Delhi and Lucknow. Lucknow, led by KL Rahul, won the previous match by six wickets. Lucknow is third in the points table with six victories in nine games. Delhi, on the other hand,  has played eight games and won four of them. They are presently sixth in the points table.

Delhi

So far, the Delhi team has not had the finest season. On paper, they have a very talented lineup, but the results have not gone their way. Only a few players have given consistent performances this season. Key players like Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and Shardul Thakur have been below par. These players will have to step up and win the team some matches.

Delhi is coming from a win against Kolkata in their last match. They will be high on confidence and would not want to make changes to their playing XI unless Khaleel Ahmed is fit to return to the team. In that case, Chetan Sakariya will have to make way for him.

Kuldeep Yadav- This season, Kuldeep Yadav has been a highly consistent player for the Delhi team. With 17 wickets in eight games this season, he is their leading wicket-taker. He has won man of the match in all of Delhi's wins this season.

David Warner- After six games, David Warner is Delhi's highest run-scorer this season. He has scored 261 runs at an average of 52.2. He also has a strike rate of 158.18 and has three half-centuries to his name.

This is led to Lucknow enduring a few collapses in the last few games. The team will have to work on the flaws as Indian T20 League approaches business end.

Players to watch out for

KL Rahul- The team captain KL Rahul has been outstanding so far. He has scored 374 runs in nine matches at an average of 53.43 and a strike rate of 144 this season. He also has hit two centuries and is the second highest run-getter of the tournament.

Quinton de Kock- Quinton de Kock has been cautious in his approach this season. He hasn't quite hit his strides yet but the southpaw is a match winner on his day. This season, he has 271 runs to his name at an average of 30.1. He scored a solid 80 when Lucknow last played against Delhi and will be eyeing to replicate his performance.
