By BetBarter Staff

March 28, 2022

The fifth game of the 15th season of Indian T20 League will be played between Rajasthan and Hyderabad. Both teams topped the points table, from the bottom last year. The 2008 winners finished seventh with five wins and nine losses in 14 games. On the other hand, the 2016 winners finished eighth with three wins and 11 losses in 14 games. This season, both teams will be looking to start their campaign with a win.

The Orange Brigade missed out on the playoffs birth last year after 2015. Since 2016, they always qualified for the playoffs till 2020. On the other hand, the Pink and Blue Brigade would like to reach the playoffs after 2018. From 2019 to 2021, they have finished outside of the playoffs. So there is a lot at stake for both teams.

Pitch Report

The surface at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune is batter friendly. If the batters give themselves some time to settle in, plenty of easy runs should be on offer.

Three players battle to watch out for

1.Bhuvneshwar Kumar vs Sanju Samson

Samson is the leading run-getter in the Hyderabad vs Rajasthan with 512 runs to his name. On the other hand, Kumar is the second-highest wicket taker among the teams with 10 scalps to his name.

2. Jos Buttler vs Umran Malik

Buttler is an explosive top-order batter for Rajasthan, who can destroy bowling attacks at will. It will be interesting to see how he copes with Umran Malik, who can crank up disconcerting pace of above 150 kmph/h.

3. Kane Williamson vs Trent Boult

The Kiwi players will be up against each other in the contest. It could turn out to be a cat and mouse contest among the duo.
