Chennai

Since MS Dhoni reclaimed the leadership, things were expected to change for Chennai. After that, they won one game but lost the next against Bangalore. The hopes to qualify for the playoffs seem to be fading away for the men in yellow. They will now look to get some good wins under their belt. For that, their key players will have to take up some responsibility. Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja will have to step up, and show some maturity.

Robin Uthappa had some outstanding early-season performances, but hasn't been at his best of late. Uthappa scoring runs in the middle order will be very important for the team. On the other hand, Dwayne Bravo could return from his injury in place of Dwaine Pretorius.

Players to watch out for

Devon Conway- Devon Conway was dropped from the team after just one game. However, he went on to score two half-centuries in two matches since his return. The team management would expect him to maintain his form.

Maheesh Theekshana- For the men in yellow, Maheesh Theekshana has been absolutely sensational. In seven games, he has 11 wickets at an economy of 7.42. The conditions at DY Patil Stadium will suit him as well. Thus, he could take a few wickets.

Rishabh Pant and Lalit Yadav have not scored enough runs. They are crucial players for the men in blue and red, and they will want to improve in the upcoming game.

Delhi's top-order batting and bowling, on the other hand, have been superb. Delhi's match-winners have been David Warner with the bat. As for their bowling, Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav have been fabulous. Prithvi Shaw could return to the team for the next game in place of Mandeep Singh.

Kuldeep Yadav- Kuldeep Yadav, Delhi's candidate for the purple cap this season, has claimed 18 wickets in 10 games. The team management will want him to get similar results in the next game.
