In the second qualifier of the Indian T20 League 2022, Rajasthan defeated Bangalore by seven wickets to claim a spot in the final. They shall now face Gujarat in the grand finale of this edition. To begin with, the men in pink did a good job of limiting Bangalore in the first innings. A superb death bowling performance swung the tide in their favour. Following that, Rajasthan's batters were at their best, ensuring a crushing victory for their team.

At the Narendra Modi Stadium, Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl first. Bangalore lost an early wicket with the bat, putting Rajat Patidar at the crease. He batted brilliantly to keep the innings under control. In the first six overs, the men in red scored 46 runs. While a couple of wickets fell on one end, he continued to perform admirably in order to keep the runs coming.

Patidar (58) was taking on the spinners and reached his half-century in the 15th over with a six. However, he was dismissed in the following over by Ravichandran Ashwin, leaving the team total at 130. After that, the team couldn't accomplish much since they continued losing wickets. Rajasthan's death bowling was excellent, limiting Bangalore to 157/8. Obed McCoy and Prasidh Krishna took three wickets each, while Ashwin and Trent Boult took a wicket each.

Rajasthan got off to a strong start in the chase, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler. During their partnership, they added 61 runs. Jaiswal (21), however, was out in the sixth over by Josh Hazlewood. Sanju Samson came to the crease and gave Buttler good support. Wanindu Hasaranaga, though, dismissed him in the 12th over for a team score of 113. Devdutt Padikkal and Buttler then reduced their scoring rate, bringing the team's total to 126 till the 15th over.

The opener then took the command, and started hitting the big shots for fun. He scored 14 runs in the 16th over, bringing the required runs down to 18 in the final four. They lost another wicket, but Buttler continued to play well, and got to his fourth century of the season in the 18th over. In the 19th over, Buttler hit a six to square off the game for Rajasthan.
