Mumbai

Strengths- They have some of the best Indian batters. Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav make for a great top three.

Weaknesses- Lack of experienced fast bowlers for the 2022 season will be an issue for the team. They only have Jasprit Bumrah as their go-to bowler from last season.

Opportunities- Players like Tymal Mills and Daniel Sams can make the most of the 2022 season as Jofra Archer is not available to play this season.

Threats- They do not have many backups in case of an emergency. This will be a problem for the team.

Chennai

Strengths- Many players from the last season have been retained by the team. This keeps their core alive for the upcoming season.

Weaknesses- Lack of Indian fast bowlers. They only have Deepak Chahar who can make it to the playing XI from the available options of India fast bowlers.

Opportunities- Chances for young players like Devon Conway, Maheesh Theeksana, and Rajvardhan Hangargekar.

Threats- Imbalance of young and old players. They either have older players who are not in the best form or too young players with little experience.

Hyderabad

Strengths- They have one of the best lineups of fast bowlers. They kept their legacy of winning with bowlers alive.

Weaknesses- Lack of prominent openers. With David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, and Jason Roy no longer in the scene they will have some trouble with the opening pair.

Opportunities- Washington Sundar can shine as he is a flexible batter and a decent bowler as well.

Threats- They overpaid for some players that are not in the best form. This led them to not have depth in their squad.

Gujarat

Strengths- They got some underrated overseas options for a low price.

Weaknesses- Lack of good upper middle-order batters. They will be too reliant on their ll-rounders.

Opportunities- Young players like Alzari Joseph and Dominic Drakes will have a chance to display their talents.

Threats- Captain Hardik Pandya's fitness issues and his availability for bowling.

Rajasthan

Strengths- Good options in the bowling department with Ashwin, Chahal, and Boult in the mix.

Weaknesses- The lack of depth and consistency in the batting unity.

Opportunities- Good overseas backups. They have Obed McCoy, Rassie van der Dussen, and Daryl Mitchell as the backup options.

Threats- Managing the ratio of overseas and Indian players will be a challenge for the team.

Bangalore

Strengths- Having a good option in the power hitters will be their strength. Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell will be their main hitter. Faf can also be their captain.

Weaknesses- Lack of Indian batters. Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik will be their main Indian batters, and they will have some lack of experience there.

Opportunities- Maintaining the same aggressive playing style under new leadership.

Threats- If Virat and Karthik are unavailable to play for some reason, they have no replacements for them.

Delhi

Strengths- They have a great squad depth and all departments are covered with options available for backups.

Weaknesses- They lack a little experience in their spin department, and Axar Patel is their most in-form spinner.
