The Indian T20 League 2022 mega auction changed the dynamics of all the teams as they were only allowed to retain a few players. This resulted in hundreds of players going under the hammer. Many of the teams had to let go of their core players. These players then found new franchisees for themselves. The Bangalore team also had to let go of many of its core players. Here are some players who performed well for their new teams after leaving Bangalore in the Indian T20 league 2022.

Yuzvendra Chahal- Rajasthan

The experienced leg spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, was one of the core players of Bangalore until the 2021 season. However, he wasn't at his best during the previous edition. He only got 18 wickets for them in 15 matches. It didn't meet the high standards he had set for himself. As a result, he was not retained by the team for the 2022 season. The Rajasthan-based franchise then bought him at the mega auction for 6.5 crores, and he proved to be a great purchase. In the eight matches he has played so far, Chahal has already taken 18 wickets for the men in pink and blue. He is currently the highest wicket-taker in the season and holds the purple cap.

Washington Sundar- Hyderabad

Washington Sundar did not have a great run with the team in the 2021 season as well. He picked up just six wickets in six matches for the team. The all-rounder couldn't help the 2016-finalists with the bat either. In the 2022 season, Hyderabad bought him and used him well. He has played four matches in the tournament, but is out of the team due to an injury. In the four games he has played thus far, he has taken four wickets. He has not got too many chances with the bat. Yet, he has a strike rate of 207 and an average of 29 in two innings.

Dushmantha Chameera- Lucknow

The Bangalore team got Dushmantha Chammera in the second half of the Indian T20 League 2021, but did not give him in a game. He was released before the 2022 season, and the newly-established Lucknow team purchased him at the mega auction for INR 2. He has been a regular for the team in the 2022 edition, and has appeared in six games. The Sri Lankan quick has picked up five wickets for the team this season. He would like to keep getting wickets and winning games for the KL Rahul-led side.
