Hyderabad will face-off Lucknow in the 12th encounter of the Indian T20 League. The match will be played at the DY Patil stadium in Mumbai on the 4th of April. Hyderabad had a poor start to the tournament as they lost to Rajasthan in their first match. Meanwhile, Lucknow comes into the match after a big win over Chennai.

The KL Rahul-led Lucknow team has defined their character in the two matches that they have played. They were down and out against Gujarat but bounced back well to make a match out of it. They did lose but gave Gujarat a run for their money. They learned from the mistakes they did in the first match and we saw a much improved Lucknow against Chennai. Given the depth in their batting, Lucknow is a seriously tough side to beat.

Hyderabad, on the other hand, has played just one game in the season so far, and they did not look in a good shape at all. Their bowlers conceded too many runs and were unable to break partnerships. The batters never had the right intent while chasing a big target. They will have to make sure they are consistent throughout the tournament if they are to have any hopes of making it to the playoffs. Hyderabad will have to be a completely different team, in terms of approach, in their next game.

The pitch at the DY Patil stadium has been a typical Maharashtra wicket so far. It has produced good bounce and pace, assisting fast bowlers. Batters also have had a good time in the middle so far. The pitch is expected to be a sporting one in the next game as well. The team winning the toss would want to bowl first, given the dew around.
