Bangalore beat Rajasthan in a nail-biting match by four wickets to pick their second win of the Indian T20 League 2022. While chasing Rajasthan's modest target of 170, Bangalore had a decent start as they did not lose any wickets in the powerplay. However, the wicket of Faf triggered a collapse as Bangalore were reduced to 62-4 and then to 87 - 5. Just as when Bangalore looked down and out, a 67 run partnership between Shabaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik revived the chase. Ahmed scored 45 runs in 26 balls, hitting four fours and three sixes. Karthik, the man of the match, scored 44 runs in 23 balls with seven boundaries and a six.

In the first innings, Rajasthan lost Yashasvi Jaiswal early on, but Devdutt Padikkal and Jos Buttler did well to keep the innings afloat. They added 70 runs together to set up a platform for the batters to follow. However, the slow wicket meant that the batters couldn't break free. At one point Rajasthan looked like settling for something around 150 but a late blitz by Buttler and Hetmyer pushed Rajasthan to 169. Hetmyer scored 42 runs in 31 balls, hitting four boundaries and two sixes. Buttler went on to score 70 runs in 47 balls. He hit six sixes to get Rajasthan to a par score.

With the ball, Bangalore had an ordinary run. They only took three wickets in the first innings. David Willey, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Harshal Patel took a wicket each. Mohammad Siraj and Akash Deep were hammered as both conceded over 40 runs in their spells.
