Lucknow beat Delhi in the 15th match of the Indian T20 League by six wickets. Winning the toss, KL Rahul asked Delhi to bat first at the DY Patil Stadium. Prithvi Shaw gave Delhi the perfect fiery start but he did not get any support from his opening partner, David Warner. Shaw played some good attacking strokes and raced to his half-century. Warner, on the other end, was still in single digits. Shaw scored 61 runs in 34 balls, hitting seven nine and two sixes, before being dismissed by Krishnappa Gowtham.

Shaw's wicket was followed by the wicket of David Warner. Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Warner and Rovman Powell to leave Delhi tottering at 74-3. Rishabh Pant and Lalit Yadav struggled in the middle phase but added a few quick runs in the final overs to push Delhi to 149. Pant added 39 runs in 34 balls and Yadav scored 36 in 28 balls. 

Chasing a modest total, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock gave Lucknow a decent start and added 73 runs for the first wicket before KL Rahul fell prey to Kuldeep Yadav. De Kock stroked some crisp shots and went on to score a half-century. He was dismissed at a score of 122. Lucknow looked set for a comfortable win but Delhi choked them runs. The equation was down to 19 off 12 balls and the match turned to life out of nowhere. However, Krunal Pandya stroked 14 off the penultimate over to almost seal the game. Ayush Badoni hit a four and a six in the last over to take Lucknow through the line.
