Kolkata and Delhi will cross swords in match 19th of the Indian T20 League on the 10th of April at the Brabourne Stadium. Having played four matches and winning three of them, Kolkata sits at the top of the points table. Delhi, on the other hand, has played three games and only managed to win one of them. They stand seventh on the points table

Team Updates

Kolkata

Kolkata has looked like a completely different team this season under the new leadership. Shreyas Iyer has given the team what they were looking for, an able skipper. Their last match against Mumbai was a great game as they won the match by six wickets. Pat Cummins stole the show with his 56 runs in 15 balls to take them through.

Their match against Delhi will be very important to keep their winning momentum going. However, it will not be easy as Delhi is a strong team. Kolkata will have to be a lot more effective with the bat. Their bowling has been fine, but top-order batting has not been the best. Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane will have to play some good knocks for Kolkata. Rahane and Iyer have scored 72 and 69 runs respectively in the four matches so far.

Players to watch out for

Umesh Yadav- Beyond everyone's expectations, Umesh Yadav has been a great performer for the Kolkata team this season. He has taken nine wickets in the four matches so far and has been lethal at the start of the innings. He would like to continue the same in the next match.

Andre Russell- Andre Russell is slowly getting back to what he is known for, power hitting. The last few seasons were not the best for him, but this season, he has already scored 106 runs at a massive strike rate of 196. If he gets going in the next match, Kolkata will be in a great position.

Probable Playing XI

Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (c), Sam Billings (wk), Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Umesh Yadav, Rasikh Salam, Varun Chakravarthy

Delhi

The Delhi team had a great start to the season, with a win over Mumbai. However, they lost their next two games against Gujarat and Lucknow. They have a good balance in the team but the players have not been at their best. Their top-order needs to contribute more as barring Prithvi Shaw, others have been disappointing. David Warner and Anrich Nortje had a poor start to their Indian T20 League campaign and will be keen to bounce back well.

Players to watch out for

Prithvi Shaw- Prithvi Shaw gave an explosive start to Delhi in the last game against Lucknow. He looked in great touch and played excellent innings of 61 runs in 34 balls. Shaw would want to continue his form in the next game as well.

Kuldeep Yadav- Kuldeep Yadav has been Delhi's most impactful bowler this season. He has taken six wickets in three games so far and has looked in a good rhythm. He has been economical as well, conceding just under seven runs per over.

Probable Playing XI

Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Rovman Powell/Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Sarfaraz Khan, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Anrich Nortje

Pitch Report

The wicket at the Brabourne Stadium has produced different results. Some matches have been high scoring, and a few have been low scoring thrillers. Speaking about the surface, it's a sporting one with something in it for all.
