The 21st encounter of the Indian T20 League will be played between Hyderabad and Gujarat on the 11th of April at the DY Patil Stadium. Gujarat is the only team in the tournament to have not lost a game. They stand second in the points table with three wins in three games. Hyderabad, on the other hand, started their season with back to back losses in their first two games. However, they redeemed themselves with a win over Chennai in the third game.

Team Updates

Hyderabad

Hyderabad has a good mix of young and experienced players but they haven't lived up to their potential. Their last game against Chennai was an exception, where they completely dominated the game. The team showed their trust in the young Abhishek Sharma and continued with him as the opener.

They were decent with the ball as well as most of their primary bowlers put pressure on the Chennai batters. They were also able to stay economical, except for Umran Malik. He bowled with an economy of close to 10 and took no wickets. He has only taken two wickets in the tournament so far and his place in the playing XI is in doubt. Kartik Tyagi can replace him.

Players to watch out for

Abhishek Sharma- The 21-year old Abhishek Sharma scored his maiden half-century in the tournament in the last match. He played many sensible shots, taking calculative risks. With his 75 run knock, he was able to win Hyderabad their first game of the season. He'd want to continue his form in the next game as well.

Washington Sundar- Washington Sundar has been decent with the ball for Hyderabad this season. He has been impressive in the powerplay, picking wickets in almost every game. He will be key to Hyderabad.

Gujarat

Gujarat has had a perfect start to their maiden season in the Indian T20 League. They have played three games so far, winning all of them. Shubman Gill has been impressive at the top, while the likes of Hardik Pandya and Rahul Tewatia has been terrific as well in final overs. Gujarat's bowlers have been on fire as well.

Players to watch out for

Shubman Gill- Shuman Gill has scored two consecutive match-winning half-centuries for Gujarat. Gujarat will be happy to see his form and would be hoping that he can deliver consistently.

Lockie Ferguson- Ferguson has some genuine pace which can make batters uncomfortable. He is can maintain consistent lines, he is a genuine wickettaker, and a match winner.

Pitch Report

The wicket at the DY Patil Stadium has been a sporting one. Batters, fast bowlers and spinners, all enjoyed their time here. As the season progresses, the pitch will become a slower and the spinners will come into play more. The team winning the toss would want to bowl first at this wicket because of the dew.
