Team Updates
Chennai
The team from down south has a lot of issues to address in the upcoming game. They have not been able to perform to the best of their abilities and suffered four losses in a row. This is the first time Chennai has lost more than one game in a row at the start of the tournament. The biggest issue with them has been their bowling. With Deepak Chahar unavailable, they do not have a strike bowler at the top. Dwayne Bravo has been their highest wicket-taker with six wickets so far.
They will look to get the best out of the resources that are available to them in the next match. Another major issue for them has been their start with the bat. Ruturaj Gaikwad was their star last season but he has recorded the scores of 0, 1, 1, and 16 in the four matches this season. They would expect him to regain his form at the top of the order.
Players to watch out for
Robin Uthappa- Robin Uthappa has given Chennai a good start in most of the matches so far. He has played with good intent but hasn't got the support from other batters. He has scored 106 runs in the four matches he has played. Uthappa, however, has thrown away good starts. He'd look to play a bigger inning in the next game.
Shivam Dube- Shivam Dube has looked a completely different player since he started playing for Chennai. He has played some great knocks, including a fifty this season. With 112 runs, Dube is the highest run-scorer for Chennai this season.
Probable Playing XI
Robin Uthappa, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja (c), Shivam Dube, MS Dhoni (wk), Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan, Maheesh Theekshana, Mukesh Choudhary
Bangalore
Bangalore is looking in a solid touch this season. They have got most of their bases covered, especially their batting department. They have their top-order performing well, the middle-order is also doing their job of exploding in the middle-overs, and Dineh Karthik has done exceptionally well to finish games. He has scored 97 runs with a strike rate of 210 in the four matches that he has played so far.
In a major update, Harshal Patel left the team's bio-bubble owing to the death of his sister. It was reported that he would be back before the clash against Chennai but he might not be available due to the quarantine protocols. Patel has been an important player for the team this season, picking six wickets in four games. Josh Hazlewood is likely to get a game.
Players to watch out for
Virat Kohli- Virat Kohli has been cautious with his batting this season, which is starting to reap the results. He has two scores over 40+ this season, with a strike rate of close to 136. He missed his half-century by two runs against Mumbai and would like to go beyond that mark in the next match.
Glenn Maxwell- Glenn Maxwell has only played two balls this season but has looked confident with two boundaries. Maxwell had a great season with Bangalore last year with 513 runs in 15 matches. He would like to keep the form and lead his team to another win.
Probable Playing XI
Faf du Plessis (c), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Josh Hazlewood, Wanindu Hasaranga, Siddharth Kaul, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj

Pitch Report
The DY Patil Stadium has produced sporting wickets. The consistent pace and bounce has helped the batters, the fast bowlers have got early swing, while the spinners have got some spin as well. The team winning the toss would like to bowl first as dew will be a factor here.
