Indian T20 League: Match 27- Delhi vs Bangalore- Preview, Playing XI, Pitch Report & Updates

The 27th match of the Indian T20 League will be played between Delhi and Bangalore. The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the match on the 16th of April. Having won three out of the five games, Bangalore stands sixth on the points table. Delhi is not behind with two wins in four games. They are at the seventh position in the points table. Both these teams will look to win the match and climb up on the points table.

Delhi

Rishabh Pant has been a good leader for the Delhi team this season. He led his team to a victory in the first match but fell off the track for the next two games. However, he got them to the win against Kolkata in their fourth match. Delhi's top order has been decent, which has been backed by a quality bowling attack. 

However, they would still like to do a bit better in the middle order. Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, and Axar Patel have blown hot and cold. Yadav has scored 74 runs in four matches. Patel has scored just 68 runs and Powell has added just 31 runs in four games.

Players to watch out for

Kuldeep Yadav- Kuldeep Yadav did not get many games last season but he has played all the games for Delhi in the 2022 edition. He got a four-wicket haul in the last game against his previous team Kolkata. He has taken 10 wickets in four games so far.

Prithvi Shaw- Prithvi Shaw has been giving explosive starts to Delhi this season. He has scored 160 runs in four matches with a strike rate of 170. He has scored two half-centuries already and would like to keep his form going.

Bangalore batters have been very impressive this season. Most of their batters have contributed at different stages of the tournament. However, the team management would like them to be a little more consistent in the upcoming matches. 

It is still not confirmed if Hashal Patel will be available for the match or not. Josh Hazlewood and Mohammed Siraj will have big responsibilities on their shoulders. However, Wanindu Hasaranga will be the players to watch out for.

Dinesh Karthik- Dinesh Karthik has been very impressive for Bangalore. Karthik has scored 131 runs this season with a massive strike rate of 218. He has played the role of a finisher to perfection.

Wanindu Hasaranga- Hasaranga has provided Bangalore with important breakthroughs this season. He has picked 10 wickets in the four matches so far and has bowled at a decent economy of 8.15
