Cricket South Africa (CSA) is preparing to launch a brand-new T20 competition including great cricketers from across the world. According to sources, the new competition would feature six new teams, with bidding having closed on July 13th. Furthermore, the Indian T20 League team owners have won ownership of all six teams in CSA's new T20 league.

According to reports, six Indian T20 League franchise owners, including Mumbai's Mukesh Ambani and Chennai's N Srinivasan, bid for six franchises and are said to have put in the highest offers. The four other bidders who have successfully put a bid for one of the six franchises are Parth Jindal of Delhi, the Marans of Hyderabad, Sanjiv Goenka of Lucknow, and Manoj Badale of Rajasthan.

According to Cricbuzz, the IPL team investors have been informed of their winning bids and asked for their preferred cities. "Mumbai Indians are set to have their team in Cape Town. Chennai Super Kings, one of the most popular IPL franchises, are likely to be given the franchise based in Johannesburg while Jindal, the co-owner of the Delhi Capitals, will have his team based in Centurion in Pretoria. It will be called the Pretoria Capitals," claimed the reports.

The owner of Lucknow, Sanjiv Goenka, is said to be interested in the Durban franchise. Meanwhile, the owners of the Hyderabad team may put their team in Port Elizabeth, while the owners of the Rajasthan team are anticipated to establish their team in Paarl.

Notably, Cricket South Africa's fresh new T20 league has been tentatively planned for January-February 2023, clashing with another future league in the UAE. This is also likely to affect the availability of players.

However, some reports claim that "There has been a signing match between the organizers of the two leagues and it is learned that many English players, including limited-overs skipper Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone, are believed to be inclined to play in the CSA league."
