Although Virat Kohli hasn’t had a good patch with the bat in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 so far; he has gotten a chance to bat for only one time in the first match against Pakistan, in which he could score only 4 runs with the bat. Later, in the second match against Nepal, he didn’t get a chance to bat as the openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill single-handedly won the match for India by a massive margin of 10 wickets.
Now, the 34-year-old will be in action once again against the arch-rivals Pakistan in India’s first super-4 match in the tournament. The ongoing continental championship is going to be very crucial for Virat Kohli and Team India owing to their preparations for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, in India.
Following the conclusion of the Asia Cup 2023, Rohit Sharma’s men will also take on Australia in the three-match home ODI series, starting from September 22 with the first ODI at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.
The upcoming home ODI World Cup is going to be a vital point in Virat Kohli’s illustrious career of 15 years in international cricket. It is because the fans are expecting and speculating that it could be the last World Cup for the Indian batting superstar.
Here’s how fans reacted to the video of Virat Kohli interacting with Sri Lankan players:
