IPL-2020-MAXWELL

The thirteenth release of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has created some spine-shivering performances. The league stage has come to a conclusion, and the four groups that have qualified for the playoffs and will be competing for the title are Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians.

Chris Gayle demonstrated that age is only a number for him. Rahul Tewatia declared to the world that he is an ability to keep an eye out for. Jofra Archer's pace disrupted batsmen, and Varun Chakravarthy even acquired a national call up because of his fantastic outing with the ball this season. In any case, at that point, there were a couple of players whose exhibitions were worse than average, and they neglected to get moving.

Here are the 4 players who flopped in the IPL 2020:

1. Shimron Hetmyer (DC)

He has energy. He can destroy any bowling assault on his day. Also, he is only 23 years of age. There is no uncertainty about the potential that Shimron Hetmyer has, yet that potential didn't convert into exhibitions with the bat in IPL this year.

In the 9 innings that he played, Hetmyer could only manage 138 runs. He averaged only 19.71 this season, and couldn't cross the fifty-run mark even once throughout the whole competition. Hetmyer couldn't set the deserts of the UAE ablaze this season and will be frustrated with his returns, particularly given the sort of ability that he has.

2. Glenn Maxwell (KXIP)

Another player whose exhibition was terrible this season was Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell let his side down this season. The Punjab outfit gave him various possibilities, trusting that he would rediscover his lost form; however, the Aussie neglected to get moving. In the 11 innings that he played this season, Maxwell could summon only 108 runs, and averaged a horrifying 15.43 in the UAE this year. His strike rate too was pathetic this season.

In fact, in the whole season, Maxwell crossed the 30-run mark only a single time. The Punjab side had shelled out an amazing 10.75 Crores for Maxwell, yet the Aussie couldn't legitimize his sticker price.

3. Dinesh Karthik (KKR)

Dinesh Karthik was another player who flopped in the competition. The Kolkata veteran was hopeless with the bat and averaged simply 14.08 this season. Additionally, Karthik could only manage to score one lone fifty in the 14 innings that he played for the current year, and was dismissed for a duck three times too.

Karthik scored only 169 runs in the whole competition and was totally adrift in the UAE this year. With the fourteenth release of the IPL only four months away, Karthik would hope to contribute with the willow one year from now and put the mistake of this season behind him.

4. Kedar Jadhav (CSK)

The IPL 2020 has been a forgettable competition for Kedar Jadhav. The CSK batsman was a colossal disillusionment for Chennai this season and scored only 62 runs in the 5 innings that he played. Jadhav averaged a disappointing 20.67, and his strike rate too was very low.

After such a terrible performance with the willow this season, it is not yet clear whether CSK will stay with him in the following release.
