The last match played by the Chennai Super Kings against Kings XI Punjab was great for the Yellow Army. The partnership between Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis led to winning the match. This victory came after CSK lost three matches consecutively. Faf du Plessis scored an unbeaten 87 runs. However, IPL 2020 has brought many woes for the three-time IPL trophy winner. And the newest one is an injury concern of Faf du Plessis.

Many have spotted this star batsman of Chennai Super Kings, Faf du Plessis, with an ice pack. On Sunday, he has been applying an ice pace post the match win against KXIP.

Faf was seen with an ice pack after the match against KXIP

On Sunday, the IPL fans witnessed the magic of Faf batting, when he scored 87 runs partnering with Shane Watson and thrashed KXIP by ten wickets. The former South African skipper and Watson (83) partnered well and brought the much-needed win for CSK. The team chased 179 runs made by KXIP and completed the said target with two overs and 10 wickets still remaining.

However, following the match, Faf was roaming with Watson in the field with an ice pack around his knee. On their YouTube channel, CSK has posted their after-the-match scenes. Faf can be seen with the ice pack towards the end of the video.

As there is no such confirmation from the team yet, the fans along with the Chennai-based outfit would be hoping fervently that this is not anything serious. They might have applied the ice pack as a safety measure. CSK will play their next match on September 7th, next Wednesday. They will face the Kolkata Knight Riders. And if the injury of Faf du Plessis is of a serious kind, he will have to miss the match.

Rather than the rest of his CSK mates, Faf du Plessis is in decent form. He has played in all five matches so far in the IPL and has hit three half-centuries. His IPL 2020 scores so far are 58*, 72, 43, 22, and 87*.
