Ben Stokes, the English all-rounder and Rajasthan Royals’ player has praised the Indian leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal. Stokes’ praise came after Chahal’s brilliant performance on Monday. Royal Challengers Bangalore won over Kolkata Knight Riders by 82 runs.

RCB and KKR clashed with each other at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium. The average 1st innings score at the first 6 games played in IPL 2020 was 219 runs. RCB skipper Virat Kohli chose to bat first after winning the toss. With the help of the run riot created by AB de Villiers, RCB scored a strong total of 94 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. De Villiers shattered a scintillating half-century.

When KKR batsmen came to chase, they found the RCB bowling attack heavy for them. The KKR batting unit collapsed easily while facing the RCB bowling attack. In 20 overs, they could score a total of 112 runs only losing 9 wickets. As a result, RCB recorded a gigantic win of 82 runs.

Yuzvendra Chahal gets praise from Ben Stokes

Chris Morris and Washington Sundar picked a couple of wickets each and were the pick of the bowlers on Monday for RCB. However, the England all-rounder, Ben Stokes was enthralled with Yuzvendra Chahal’s bowling display. Despite Chahal picked just a wicket for RCB on Monday, he was the most economical bowler for the team. He gave only 12 runs during his allotted 4 overs. Furthermore, he bowled with an economy of 3 runs per over. It created immense pressure on KKR and helped the other RCB bowlers pick crucial wickets.

Ben Stokes showered praise of the Indian leggie for his incredible performance at the Sharjah Stadium. This is where all the IPL games played till now have ended in high-scoring ties. According to Stokes, it was surely an admirable effort from Chahal to bowl with an economy of 3 in this venue.

Stokes took to Twitter and wrote, “In a batters game @yuzi_chahal should get MOM here, incredible figures especially as it’s in Sharjah”
