Chennai Super Kings have endured another gigantic problem. Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out of the IPL 2020 season because of a groin injury. Bravo got the injury during Chennai Super Kings' destruction to Delhi Capitals, on match 34 of IPL 2020.
Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed that Bravo has endured a right groin injury. The West Indies all-rounder will now head back home in two or three days.
Dwayne Bravo had missed the starting phases of the IPL 2020 with injury worries, after his effective Caribbean Premier League crusade with the Trinbago Knight Riders. Bravo showed up for CSK against Sunrisers Hyderabad on October 2.
Dwayne Bravo leaves the group in the wake of having played just 6 matches for CSK in IPL 2020. The all-rounder oversaw only 7 runs and got 6 wickets during his stretch with the "Yellow Army" this season.
Bravo's nonappearance was felt in the game against Delhi Capitals. CSK missed their death bowling master when the opponent required 17 runs in the last over. Dhoni went to Ravindra Jadeja however the move exploded backward. Axar Patel got DC past the end line with 3 sixes against the left-arm spinner.
CSK are sitting at the bottom of the IPL 2020 points table
Chennai Super Kings have been harmed by injury concerns and pull-outs. Indeed, even before the season began, they were managed colossal blows as Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh pulled out of the competition because of personal reasons. CSK didn't choose swaps for both of the two genius players.
In Bravo's nonappearance, CSK played Australian quick bowler Josh Hazlewood against the Rajasthan Royals. It is not yet clear if South Africa spinner and a year ago's Purple Cap holder Imran Tahir will get a game without Bravo. CSK have not played Tahir in a single game as MS Dhoni called attention to how their group blend has made it hard for them to incorporate the genius leg-spinner.
CSK are grieving at the lower part of the IPL 2020 points table with only 3 wins from 10 matches. With 4 additional games to go, the 3-time champions are at risk of being out of the knockout stages for the first time in IPL history.
