IPL 2021 saw several Indian talented players rise to the occasion for their respective IPL franchises. In particular, quite a few uncapped Indian players performed tremendously with the bat and ball. That said, here is a list of 3 uncapped players in the T20I format who made a good case for national selection before the T20 World Cup:

3. Prithvi Shaw (DC)

Shaw endured a difficult time in IPL 2020. In 13 matches in IPL 2020, Shaw only managed to score 228 runs in total. However, IPL 2021 saw a completely different version of the Mumbai youngster. Prithvi Shaw has been one of the most explosive batsmen in the IPL this year. In just 8 matches in IPL 2021, Shaw smacked an impressive 308 runs in total. The 21-year-old maintained a solid batting strike rate of 166.48 throughout the course of the season. After a superb outing in the suspended IPL 2021, Indian team selectors will keep a close eye on Prithvi Shaw. Clearly, the 21-year-old has the ability to represent India in the shortest format of the game.

2. Avesh Khan (DC)

Another DC cricketer to make it in this list is Avesh Khan. Khan failed to impress with the ball in IPL 2020. The 24-year-old played only one match in the entire season last year, picking only 1 wicket in total. However, the bowler has seen a change in fortune in IPL 2021. The DC bowler bowled brilliantly in the IPL this year. In just 7 matches in IPL 2021, Khan scalped 14 wickets in total. Furthermore, his brilliant bowling average of 16.50 speaks volumes about his effectiveness with the ball. Clearly, Avesh Khan has made a strong case for national selection after a superb outing in IPL 2021.

1. Deepak Hooda (PBKS)

Another Indian uncapped T20I player to grab eyeballs in IPL 2021 is Deepak Hooda. Hooda was efficient with both ball and bat in the IPL this year. In 8 matches this season, Hooda scored 99 runs and also picked 2 wickets for PBKS. The 26-year-old maintained a superb bowling economy of 7.07 in the IPL this year. Deepak Hooda could be used as a batting all-rounder in the Indian national T20 side.
