Delhi Capitals have added some experienced and young talents to their squad after the IPL auctions. The franchise has bought former RR skipper Steve Smith and pacer Umesh Yadav along with some young talents.
DC will look to follow processes and not complicate things: Shreyas Iyer
Delhi Capitals never won the Indian Premier League, although they came close a few times. Last year, DC lost to Mumbai Indians by five wickets in the final game in Dubai. Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer with an unbeaten score of 65 off 50 balls in the final. However, his side stumbled with the bat and managed just 156 for seven wickets in 20 overs. Mumbai Indians quickly chased the target and won the match with eight balls to spare.
DC’s prominent buys in the IPL auction included Steven Smith (INR 2.20 Crore), Sam Billings (INR 2 Crore), Umesh Yadav (INR 1 Crore), and Tom Curran (INR 5.25 Crore). They also picked Ripal Patel, Vishnu Vinod, Lukman Meriwala, M Siddharth, at their base price of INR 20 Lakhs.
