Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir has fallen on the receiving end of the trolls following his recent statement on the former Proteas legend and skipper, AB de Villiers. The former southpaw spoke a bit of critique for the Mr. 360-degree batter of Bangalore in the Indian T20 League. In his statement, Gambhir reckoned that ABD is not one of the best batters in the cash-rich Indian franchise league.
"Ab de Villiers only had personal records in the IPL. Anybody could have scored runs in Chinnaswamy Stadium," said Gambhir to Star Sports.
Although this statement from Gambhir didn’t go down well with a section of ardent Bangalore fans and the fans of AB de Villiers. They couldn’t stop themselves from brutally trolling Gautam Gambhir for his critique remarks for the former blistering Bangalore batter. Fans took to Twitter and came up with some hard-and-fast-lined comments for the former Kolkata skipper.

When you expect respect from others you need to respect others also
How can anyone on Earth talk such low about ABD, yeh he is unlucky not to win Trophies for SA or RCB
But is a gem of a person loved by everyone ❤
I am not a big ABD Fan But This is not done!

Notably, Gambhir had been on the gaining end of criticism from Indian cricket fans for his remarks on the former legendary Indian skipper MS Dhoni and the latter’s successor Virat Kohli. Gambhir can be usually seen discrediting the 91-run knock of MS Dhoni in the 2011 ODI World Cup final against Sri Lanka and upheld his knock of 97 runs in the same match.
Coming back to the Indian T20 League, the tournament is set to commence on Friday, the 31st of March with the tournament opener between the defending champions Gujarat and the four-time champions Chennai. Notably, this edition is also being considered as the last appearance of the former World Cup winner Indian captain and current Chennai skipper, MS Dhoni.
Apart from that, the tournament will be played in its traditional format of away and home matches this year. The fans are also excited to witness the action of this glamourous league throughout entire India.
