This has also helped the youngster to stage a comeback in the white-ball T20I format.

Ishan Kishan made an outstanding debut with his knock against England in the second T20I. In IPL 2020, Kishan accumulated 516 runs in 14 games and played a crucial part in Mumbai Indian's triumph. During an interview, Saba Karim indicated that the current Indian squad is fortunate to have match-winners like Pant and Kishan. He added that it wouldn't be long before both are seen representing India in all three formats of the game.

Kishan and Pant would do well if they go close to MS Dhoni's level: Saba Karim

Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant have starred for India in the 2016 Under-19 World Cup. Kishan has also led India to the final of the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, with Pant being one of the team's key batsmen. Unfortunately, India could not lift the trophy as West Indies defeated them in the final.

The duo is often compared to veteran Indian batsman MS Dhoni. When questioned if he feels there are two MS Dhoni's in the Indian team currently, Saba Karim responded that Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant would do well if they go close to the standards of the Indian legend. While praising the duo's big-hitting abilities, the 53-year-old concluded that Pant and Kishan would gain more confidence if they get more opportunities. Both the players have a long way to go before reaching the eminent heights of MS Dhoni. The youngsters will hope to maintain their current form and serve Team India for future endeavours.
