The beginning of Rinku Singh's IPL career can be traced back to February 2017, when Kings XI Punjab, currently known as Punjab Kings, signed him to a contract. For INR 10 lakh, the team acquired him at the IPL auction. But after only a year, he signed for Rs. 80 lakhs with his current side Kolkata Knight Riders.

In his maiden season with KKR, Singh only appeared in four games and managed to score 29 runs. However, the team recognized his talent in him and decided to keep him in the lineup for the next few seasons while also giving him more training at the KKR school. Due to a knee injury, the left-hander was unable to compete in the IPL in 2021. Gurkeerat Singh Mann eventually took his spot in the KKR team for that year. 

The Uttar Pradesh player was once more purchased by KKR at Rs 55 lakh in the 2022 mega auction. That year, the hitter performed significantly better and won the inaugural Man of the Match accolade for his 42 runs off 23 balls and 182.61 strike rate against the Rajasthan Royals. He was also kept by the two-time winner in the player auction for 2023.

Early in the season, Rinku Singh produced a stunning knock against the Gujarat Titans. While attempting to reach the objective, the 25-year-old smashed MS Dhoni's milestone for the most runs scored in the final over. When the Knight Riders were chasing 205 runs against Gujarat Titans, Singh delivered an amazing performance that included five consecutive sixes to give his team a surprise victory. 

This season has been a great revelation for Rinku Singh as he has scored crucial runs for his side and has taken them home during run-chases on more occasions than one. He was able to amass over 450 runs which is massive when you are playing right in the middle order. His strike rate is also around 140 which is great for the role he has been allocated in the team.
