Gujarat beat Delhi by 14 runs in a thrilling match to make it two wins in two games. Put in to bat first by Delhi, Gujarat lost two early wickets but Shubman Gill kept the scoreboard ticking. Shubman Gill along with Hardik Pandya added 65 runs together before Pandya was dismissed on 31. Shubman Gill went on to play a fast knock as he scored a half-century. He added 84 runs in 46 balls, hitting six fours and four sixes. He helped Gujarat reach 171 in the first innings.
With the ball, Mustafizur Rahman shone as he picked up three wickets and conceded just 23 runs in his spell of four overs. Khaleel Ahmed picked up two wickets while Kuldeep Yadav also chipped in with a wicket.
In the chase, the Rishabh Pant-led side had a mediocre start. They were left reeling at 34-3. Rishabh Pant had a good partnership with Lalit Yadav before the unfortunate run out of Yadav. Rishabh Pant also departed early after that as he scored 43 runs in 29 balls. He hit seven sixes in his innings. After Pant's wicket, Delhi kept losing wickets and lost the match by a narrow margin.
Lockie Ferguson was the star for the Gujarat team in the second innings. He picked up a four-wicket haul to take his team through, giving just 28 runs in his spell of four overs. Mohammad Shami was also effective as he took two wickets in the innings.
