Anil Kumble is one of the most talented bowlers of the Indian team. He had broken a number of records during his cricket career. Kumble has picked 619 Test wickets and 337 ODI wickets in his memorable career. This is the maximum by any Indian bowler in Tests and ODI. The off-spinner had created a beautiful history in the world of cricket by taking 10 wickets in one innings. It was the Test match in 1999 Test against Pakistan at Feroz Shah Kotla ground in New Delhi. However, despite that Kumble is so famous; he is constantly compared with bowlers of his era. To name a few, people compare him with Shane Warne from Australia and Muttiah Muralitharan from Sri Lanka.

Both Warne and Muralitharan, as well, made extraordinary progress in both the formats. Both these bowlers respectively from Australia and Sri Lanka are really the best bowlers of cricket. Their bowling skills come close to Kumble. In a recent interview, Kumble opened up about this comparisons with the two bowlers.

It was hard to look at since these two folks could turn the ball on any surface. It turned out to be extremely hard for Kumble, when they began contrasting him and Warne or Murali.

Murali, Kumble would see him much more since India-Sri Lanka played regularly. So it was consistently a complimentary note seeking him from Murali after he pass on each achievement and Murali would be 30 wickets to the following one.

Kumble wanted to congratulate Murali in advance for his next big achievement which was 500 wicket milestones. Kumble also mentioned that he would still not accept that he is just 30 wickets less for reaching 500 Test wickets, and will say this is a long way.
