The overseas players have been a huge part of the Indian T20 League. Many have given us moments that no one would ever forget. From Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers knocking the ball out of the park for Bangalore to Kieron Pollard taking amazing catches in the deep for Mumbai, we have enjoyed all these moments. Today, we will look at which players can make it to the best XI of the overseas players.

Top Order

David Warner- Warner started playing with Delhi and then moved to Hyderabad to give them some great memories, including the title win in 2016. He is the perfect option for a team at the top of the batting order.

Faf du Plessis- Faf du Plessis has been one of the greatest match-winners for Chennai in the past few seasons. He has been a consistent performer and continued that last season as well. He fell just short of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the chase for orange cap last year.

Jonny Bairstow- Jonny Bairstow is a very flexible player. He can bat at different positions. He can open and can play at three and four as well. He is a very smart cricketer and plays according to the situation.

Middle Order

Kane Williamson- Kane Williamson is a very important player for any team that he plays for. Asian conditions suit him well as he plays the ball a little late. He is someone who can anchor the innings, giving other players a little more liberty to play their natural game.

Liam Livingstone- Liam Livingstone was the costliest overseas player this season and he will have a point to prove to everyone. He is a genuine all-rounder who takes wickets and is also very flexible when it comes to batting.

Kieron Pollard- Kieron Pollard is one of the names that come to mind when the legends of the tournament are a subject. Playing for Mumbai, he has been a great match-winner for them. Be it with the bat, or ball, or in the field, he has always won Mumbai matches.

Wanindu Hasaranga- In the short time that he has been around, Hasaranga has impressed everyone with his all-round skills. He gets important wickets with the ball and also provides the team with a good finishing option. He has a big task at hand this season to justify the big price tag.

Lower Order

Pat Cummins- Pat Cummins was bought back by Kolkata in the mega auction. He did not have the best two seasons with the team but that can change this season. He has had some good performances for Australia in recent times and has the form behind him.

Rashid Khan- Rashid Khan has been one of the best players in the Indian T20 League. He is one of the most economical bowlers in the tournament and always gets wickets.

Kagiso Rabada- Rabada was one of the hottest buys going into the auction and Punjab managed to get their hands on him. He was the purple cap winner in 2020 but had an off-season in 2021. When on song, he is unplayable.

Trent Boult- Playing for Mumbai, Trent Boult was their main bowler in the powerplays in the last two seasons. He had the most wickets at the start of the innings and also won the power player of the season in 2020.
