Former Indian captain MS Dhoni's love for football has never been a mystery. In fact, before taking up cricket as his career, Dhoni was a goalkeeper. He is always up for a quick game of football while warming up before his cricket matches. Ravi Shastri saw him play football before Chennai's game against Hyderabad earlier today, which reminded him of an incident that made him furious.

Speaking of the incident, Shastri said that right before the final match of the Asia Cup against Pakistan, MS Dhoni was playing football with high intensity. He said that he yelled to stop the match as he did not want to lose an important player due to an injury.

Speaking to Star Sports, he said, "He loves football. It scares, the intensity he plays, you from the outside, you hope he doesn’t get injured. I remember before the Asia Cup final, there was dew, he went skidding five minutes before the toss. I’ve never yelled like that in my life, I said stop the game! Something like that. You don’t want to lose your main player in a game against Pakistan, because five minutes later was the toss. But, to get him out, leave the football, impossible."

Meanwhile, in the game against Hyderabad, Dhoni only scored three runs as he lost his wicket to Marco Jansen. Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, and Ravindra Jadeja helped Chennai to get to a total of 154 in the first innings.

A good partnership between Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson, and then between Sharma and Rahul Tripathi, guided Hyderabad to an eight-wicket win. Chennai lost their fourth game in a row. They find themselves in a tough situation now as they are tottering at the bottom of the points table.
