On 10 November 2022, India locked horns with England in Adelaide for the second semi-final of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. On 9 November, Pakistan defeated New Zealand in the first semi-final. Hence, fans were hoping for an India vs Pakistan clash at the MCG for the final on 13 November.

But, the Men in Blue failed to defeat England as Jos Buttler and his men thrashed them. After such a result, Pakistan fans were in a jubilant mood as their arch-rival got crashed out of the tournament. Now, a video went viral where an anchor was seen insulting team India along with some former and current Paksitani players on a live TV show.

Speaking of the video, former players like Moin Khan and Aaqib Javed were seen alongside Imad Wasim in a live TV show before the semi-final clash between India and England. During that show, the anchor said: “acha main personally main yehi chahta hun ki India semi-final haar jaye. Taki hamara darja upar rahe nah unse yaar. Yun dikha karenge, ja side mein raho semi-finalist.”

Listening to that, other panelists looked happy as they were with all smiles on their faces. Then, Imad Wasim said: “Final haarane ke baad phir aur jo maja hai uska maja World Cup final ka toh 2007 mein.” In reply to that, the anchor said: “mereko risk lenekai nahi hai.” Other panelists loved it as they burst out into laughter. But, the Indian fans found it insulting as the video went viral.

Speaking about the performance of India, they batted first and scored 168 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. In reply, both Jos Buttler and Alex Hales batted brilliantly as they chased down the target in just 16 overs. England managed to defeat team India by 10 wickets. Now, they will take on the Men in Green at the MCG on 13 November 2022.
