'Jab team kharab ho to...'- Twitter reacts as Mumbai suffers fourth consecutive loss

Bangalore beat Mumbai in the 18th match of the Indian T20 League by seven wickets. Faf du Plessis won the toss and asked Mumbai to bat first at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave Mumbai a good start, scoring 49 runs in the first six overs. Rohit Sharma fell shortly after that as Bangalore bounced back in the match. Harshal Patel got rid of him with a brilliant slower ball. Mumbai then lost five more wickets and slumped to 79 - 6 in the 14th over.

Post that, it was a complete Suryakumar Yadav show. He went all-out as he attacked the Bangalore bowlers. Yadav kept scoring with the right intent to get his team to a defendable total. He got some support from Jaydev Unadkat on the other end. The two helped Mumbai reach a score of 151 in the first innings. Yadav scored 68 runs in 37 balls with five fours and six sixes. Unadkat supported him well with 13 runs in 14 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel took two wickets each, and Akash Deep took a single wicket for Bangalore.

While chasing 152, Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat gave Bangalore a slow start as they added 30 runs in the powerplay. Du Plessis fell to Unadkat in the 9th over for a team score of 50 runs but Rawat continued to go strong as Virat Kohli joined him in the middle. Rawat scored his maiden half-century and went on to score 66 in 47 balls. 

Dinesh Karthik walked in to bat in the 17th over after Rawat was run out by a direct hit by Ramandeep Singh. Virat Kohli followed shortly after as he fell on the first delivery by Brevis in the 19th over. He scored 48 runs in 36 balls to with the help of five boundaries. However, the match was already done by then. Glenn Maxwell walked in and hit two consecutive fours to win the match with nine balls to spare.
