Indian chief selector Chetan Sharma has spilled the beans in the recent sensational sting operation by Zee News. The head of selection has revealed a lot of shocking things within the management and decision-making nucleus of the Indian Cricket Board. Meanwhile, Sharma has also opened up some surprising facts regarding the infamous controversy between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli; which eventually led to the latter’s quitting the captaincy duties.

“I would not say Ganguly favored Rohit Sharma but can say it that he disliked Kohli,” said Ganguly in the sting of Zee News.

This shocking revelation has also drawn a lot of furious reactions from Indian cricket fans. They took to Twitter to come up with various responses on the same.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Apart from that, Chetan Sharma also spoke about Sourav Ganguly’s stance on Virat Kohli’s captaincy row. He recalled the video conference of the management members also included the former Indian skipper as well.

"Sourav Ganguly said that think once, in what might have been a video conference. Virat would not have heard. There were nine people sitting there, not one person. All the people were there... I was also there. All the selectors and board members were there. Either Virat didn't listen or Virat did. I don't know. We don't know, Virat will know,” said Chetan Sharma.

“Why did Virat say? He was going to South Africa as a captain. The press conference is about the team. There was no need to bring this topic there. The truth was that there was talk. Eight to nine people were sitting and talk was happening. Ganguly had said (spoken to Kohli),” he added later.

The 57-year-old also accused Virat Kohli of lying about the issues that were going on at that time within the management.

“Virat was lying. But why Virat lied, nobody knows till today. This is his personal matter. There was controversy in it - board versus player,” concluded the selection committee chief.
