The veteran Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has recently accomplished a historic feat in Test Cricket. He has now become the fastest Indian to scalp 450 wickets in the longest format of the game. Apart from having 452 scalps on his name, the 36-year-old has also smashed 5 Test centuries in his career so far.
Ashwin is associated with the Rajasthan franchise in the Indian T20 League. Recently, the Chennai bowling all-rounder has credited his Indian T20 League franchise for the improvements in batting.
"Playing for Rajasthan in IPL also helped my batting,β said Ashwin.

Speaking of his career in the Indian T20 League, Ashwin made his first appearance while playing for Chennai almost 14 years back in the year 2009. It was also the year when the tournament was played in South Africa; the first edition of the tournament outside India.
Coming back to Ashwin, he has played 184 matches and went unbeaten 27 times having 647 runs with a half-century to his name. Apart from that, he has scalped 157 wickets in 181 innings of 184 matches having the best performance in 4/34.
Currently, Ashwin is in action with the Indian team in the ongoing Nagpur Test against Australia. Notably, it is the 89th match of his Test career in which he has scored 3066 runs with five centuries and an average of 27.38.
Talking about the bowling stats of modern-day great, he has now 452 wickets to his name in 167 innings of 89 matches including record 30 five-wicket hauls and seven times 10-wicket figures to his name.
In the ongoing Nagpur test between India and Australia, the hosts scored 400 runs in the second innings against the latter. Now, Rohit Sharmaβs men have taken the lead of 223 runs after the end of the first innings.
