After a few days of break, the ongoing CPL 2023 resumed for its final leg, in Guyana. The rest of the tournament, including the playoffs will be played at the Providence Stadium. The Guyana leg resumed with a reverse fixture between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Jamaica Tallawahs. In the game, the home team won the toss and elected to field first.

The defending champions, Tallawahs had a poor start as they lost the wicket of Alex Hales in the fourth over. At 23/1, the likes of Kirk McKenzie and Brandon King put together 50 runs for the second wicket. However, after the partnership was broken, the team was reduced to 111/5. At this stage, the likes of Fabian Allen and Raymon Reifer helped the team reach 152/5.

Meanwhile, in the 18th over, Allen hit a six-over long-off against Dwaine Pretorius. This led to the commentary glasses being broken. The video and photos of the incident has been going viral on social media.

In reply, the home team had a great start as Saim Ayub and Matthew Nandu put together 112 runs for the first wicket. This partnership ensured that the team won the game despite losing three wickets.
