Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned Australia all-rounder James Faulkner from participating in the Pakistan Super League after made shocking allegations against the board. On February 19, Faulkner pulled out of PSL alleging that he hasn't received his payments. He added that the board continued to 'lie to him'. The left-arm medium-pacer took to Twitter and apologized to Pakistani fans for leaving the league midway.
However, it is alleged that Faulkner was agitated after not being included in the playing XI for Quetta Gladiators. A photo of his Hotel's chandelier has been doing rounds on social media, which is believed to be damaged by him with a helmet and bat. The 2015 World Cup said that he has been treated by the board with absolute 'disgrace'.

I apologise to the Pakistan cricket fans.
But unfortunately I’ve had to withdraw from the last 2 matches and leave the @thePSLt20 due to the @TheRealPCB not honouring my contractual agreement/payments.
I’ve been here the whole duration and they have continued to lie to me.— James Faulkner (@JamesFaulkner44) February 19, 2022

It hurts to leave as I wanted to help to get international cricket back in Pakistan as there is so much young talent and the fans are amazing.
But the treatment I have received has been a disgrace from the @TheRealPCB and @thePSLt20I’m sure you all understand my position.

Damages. PC Hotel, Lahore. Shouldn't have let him leave and fly to Australia. #HBLPSL7 pic.twitter.com/TS8I9ZUOFJ

PCB and Quetta Gladiators had issued a joint statement on February 19, saying that the allegations are baseless and 70 percent of his season fee has been transferred to his account. However, Faulkner wanted the amount to be transferred again to a different bank account. The board said that the 31-year-old has breached his contract and the matter will be reviewed. Now, in response to the incident and its aftermath, the PCB has decided to ban the Launceston-born player from participating in the future editions of the PSL.
“Taking serious note of Mr James Faulkner’s gross misconduct, it has been unanimously agreed by the PCB and the franchises that Mr James Faulkner will not be drafted in future HBL Pakistan Super League events," the PCB stated.
