Sydney Sixers have notified the signing of Jason Holder on a 3-match deal for the upcoming Big Bash League 2020-21. Jason Holder is currently in New Zealand preparing for a 2-match Test series. He will join the Sixers in Hobart later this month.
Jason Holder who went unsold in the IPL auction was later picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh. He provided all-round balance to the team. He took wickets at the most critical parts and also scored handy runs down the order. Holder played seven matches and claimed 14 wickets with a good economy of 8.32.
Earlier in the year, Holder captained the Barbados Tridents in the Caribbean Premier League. He grabbed ten wickets in ten matches. The skipper also added 192 runs at a strike rate of 140.14.

The 29-year-old all-rounder will be available for the franchise against the Adelaide Strikers in Hobart. The team is likely to move to the Gold Coast for a December 26 fixture against the Melbourne Stars. Following that, they will match up with the Melbourne Renegades on December 29.
Holder in an official statement said that he is excited to be coming to the BBL and in particular the Sydney Sixers. The test skipper wanted to make some appearances and hopefully do a bit for the Sydney Sixers. Jason Holder also said that he enjoyed playing with Moises Henriques when the duo represented Hyderabad in the Dream11 IPL during the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Meanwhile, the Sixers have already begun their training session in Sydney on Monday. They will be moving to Hobart on December 5. The franchise signed three more international players in the Sixers squad. Carlos Brathwaite, Tom Curran, and James Vince. Tom Curran is likely to join the team from international duties after Christmas.
The defending champions will begin their title defense against the Hobart Hurricanes at Blundstone Arena on Thursday, December 10.
