The much-anticipated Women’s T20 League is around the corner. The first-ever edition of the historic franchise tournament for Women will kick off with the tournament opener on Saturday between Gujarat Women and Mumbai Women. Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Board has released the official tune of the Women’s T20 League just ahead of the commencement of the tournament.

Here's a look at the official tune of the Women’s T20 League:

The Board secretary Jay Shah tweeted the AV of the official tune from his official Twitter handle. Although this tune of the tournament didn’t go down well with a wider section of Indian cricket fans; they took no time in rushing to the comment section of the AV on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Subsequently, the fans brutally trolled the Indian Cricket Board for this tune and also rated this very ‘average’ in comparison to that of the Men’s Indian T20 League.

Notably, four out of the five participating teams have officially announced their captains ahead of the start of the tournament. Star Aussie all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner will lead Gujarat, whereas India’s national skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will lead Mumbai. Star Indian opener Smriti Mandhana will be leading one of the high-profile franchises, Bangalore. Apart from that, the UP-based franchise has appointed the veteran Australian player Alyssa Healy as the skipper for the inaugural edition of the Women’s T20 League.

Fans and cricket experts are speculating that Delhi might declare the five-time World Champion Australian skipper Meg Lanning as the captain for the tournament.
