After a century-less 2020, Joe Root bounced back and accumulated 684 runs in three Tests so far. Joe Root's overall average, which was 47.99 before the two-Test series in Sri Lanka, is now over 50. The 30-year-old is currently the third-leading Test run-scorer for England. Root has scored 8507 runs in 100 Tests and is just behind Graham Gooch, and Alastair Cook, who is leading the table with 12472 runs in 161 matches.

Nasser Hussain glorifies the England team for winning and dominating a strongly built team like India who has just returned from a historic win in Australia. After defeating Australia in Brisbane, India was strengthened by the return of several major players like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, and R Ashwin. However, the Indian team were still defeated by a considerable margin in their home turf.

The 52-year-old cricketer-turned-commentator mentioned that the first win in Chennai is one of the best in England cricket's history. Joe Root has now registered his sixth consecutive away Test win. The visitors will look to carry the momentum when they take the field for the next Test against India. Both the teams will play their second Test match from February 13. The Men in Blue will look to bounce back after suffering a 227-run defeat in the first Test in Chennai.
