English Cricket Board willing to take their time with Jofra Archer
Jofra Archer is currently one of the world’s most valuable T20 players. The pacer could make a fair living without risking further damage to his elbow from the strains of the red-ball format. Archer’s future in the purest format of the game is also under consideration. Silverwood stated that if the pacer needs to undergo surgery or requires an extended time out of the pitch, ECB is ready to provide all the necessary resources. The team wants Archer prepared for the T20 World Cup and the Ashes series. His availability for this year’s IPL, which starts in April, can still be under question.
A new England cricket side led by Eoin Morgan would look to make an impact in T20 games against India. The five-match T20I series will start next Friday, March 12, at the Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad.
