The star Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Rinku Singh has credited the legendary Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni for his finishing abilities. The emerging batting sensation from the recently-concluded edition of the Indian Premier League 2023 also felt that Dhoni is the best finisher India ever had.
"Mahi bhai is the best finisher. I asked him what's the other way to finish the game, and he advised me when the last over is going on, try to hit straight and let the bowler do what he wants to,” said Rinku Singh to Sports Hour.

Although this statement from Rinku Singh drew a lot of different reactions and responses from cricket fans. Fans immediately took to Twitter where some of the fans also recalled the moments when Dhoni played quite slow in the end while he was supposed to finish the match. Whereas some of the fans also recalled Dhoni’s heroics as a finisher for Team India.

Coming back to Rinku Singh, he was one of the star performers in the tournament for the two-time IPL champions KKR; the young southpaw scored 474 runs with six unbeaten knocks in the 14 innings of the 14 matches, he played for KKR. Rinku scored these runs with an outstanding average of 59.25 including four half-centuries in the crucial situations for his team.
Apart from that, Rinku also stunned everyone in the entire cricketing fraternity when he successfully chased down 29 runs off just the last 5 balls with five consecutive sixes in the last five balls of the 20th over against the Gujarat Titans.
There were a lot of moments when Rinku proved his worth for the black and gold outfits in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. He also got praised by the team owner and the veteran Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan for his amazing batting heroics in the IPL 2023.
