Jos Buttler has been the best player for the Rajasthan team in the Indian T20 League 2022. In the match against Delhi, the English batter played a brilliant knock to reach his third century of the season. His previous two centuries came against Mumbai and Kolkata respectively.
Buttler took his time to settle in and played a conservative game, to begin with. He only started to explode in the sixth over of the innings and did not stop after that. He played with all the confidence and reached his century in the 16th over of the game. Batting on 99, Buttler nudged the ball as he ran two and reached the milestone. He became only the second player to score more than two centuries in a single season after Virat Kohli.
The 31-year old was supported well by Devdutt Padikkal who too scored a half century. The two added 155 runs on the board, which is the highest opening stand for Rajasthan ever. Khaleel Ahmed finally got the breakthrough as he dismissed Padikkal (54) right before Buttler got to his century in the 16th over.
Buttler continued scoring well before he was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman in the 19th over. He scored 116 runs in 65 balls, with nine fours and nine sixes. Sanju Samson (46) played a brilliant cameo after that to help the men in pink reach 222 in the first innings.
Meanwhile, fans went wild over Jos Buttler's century. "It's hot. It's a summer evening. Thirsty times. Worth the wait. Guys our favourite ‘Jos the Boss’ is up to some serious on-field business at the Wankhede. A magnificent cocktail soon coming," former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri tweeted.

This time last year, Jos Buttler had never scored a T20 hundred. Now, he’s scored 5 in his last 24 innings - and 4 in his last 8 IPL innings
A remarkable player making the most of his incredible talents - undoubtedly the best T20 batter in the world at the moment
